Biotech for better decisions
Aanika creates biotech solutions for food waste, detection of diseases, and much more, with the creation of cutting edge molecules that can feel like a sci-fi movie. But far from fiction, they are creating solutions for better food systems globally, today. They approached us pre-series A with a curious name (Carverr Labs), a website built by the CEO, and no real brand strategy and messaging. They came out of it with a new name, identity, and the strategic foundation on which to scale globally from.

Biotech happens in sterile feeling labs where they create science-ey things that don't can look quite odd under a microscope. Branding and messaging coming from those companies can look like it came right from a lab. It often lacks warmth, humanity, and heart. The challenge here was to go beyond the typical and go deeper with Aanika's team to unearth the deep purpose and vision of the future they intend to bring to life - and then translating those findings into a globally recognizable brand.
Through our comprehensive brand and messaging strategy process and workshops, we created a framework for the internal elements of the brand to be clarified, aligned, and ready to be expressed into the world in authentic and heartfelt ways. The visual approach that was born out of the process is one of an utopian world where advanced science and the natural world are intertwined harmoniously. This concept led us into a deep exploration of textures, shapes, and colors to express a place where humanity is not at odds with itself and the planet anymore. It is a place of peace, alignment, and prosperity. How could we visualize such a world?
We created an Aanika universe full of unique and imagined landscapes and objects that portrayed the deep vision the company holds for the future of society. Setting them up for a successful fundraising round and new client relationships, the new messaging has been a pillar of success for the company, internally with their employees and externally in their communications. We're proud to say the site itself has won multiple design awards.
